Strategic pillars

Our investment areas

Mining & Resources

01

Mining & Resources

Responsible development of cobalt, copper and critical minerals, with high value-added local processing.

The DRC holds the world's largest cobalt reserves and ranks among the leading copper producers. The Fund favours projects that include refining and processing on national territory, creating skilled jobs and local added value.

Energy

02

Energy

Hydropower, solar and grid development for universal access to clean energy.

With the Inga site, the DRC has Africa's largest hydropower potential. The Fund supports generation, transmission and distribution projects that electrify the provinces and power industry.

Infrastructure

03

Infrastructure

Road corridors, ports, telecommunications and logistics linking provinces and regional markets.

Opening up the provinces and connecting to regional corridors are preconditions for growth. The Fund co-invests in transformative transport and digital infrastructure.

Agriculture

04

Agriculture

Sustainable agro-industry and food security, mobilising the country's vast agricultural potential.

With 80 million hectares of arable land, the DRC can become a regional breadbasket. The Fund finances agro-industrial value chains, from production to processing and logistics.

Beyond these pillars, the founding decree allows the Fund to intervene in the priority sectors defined by the Government: urban development, water and sanitation, telecommunications, livestock and fisheries, industry, tourism and services.
